These Terms are an agreement between you and Cartesys LLC ("we", "us"). When you create an account, you tick "I'm 18 or older and agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy". If you do not agree, do not use AI Cruise Director.
1. What AI Cruise Director is
AI Cruise Director ("the App") is an independent app that helps cruise passengers with questions about their ship and sailing: the daily schedule, venues, plans and reminders, live reports from other passengers, and Points.
The App is an AI assistant. Its answers are written by artificial intelligence (Claude models made by Anthropic), not by a person and not by ship crew. AI answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Always check anything important, such as safety instructions, muster, all-aboard and port times, and reservations, with the ship's crew and your cruise line's official information.
2. Not affiliated with any cruise line
AI Cruise Director is an independent app. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any cruise line. This includes Royal Caribbean International. Cruise line, ship and venue names are used only to say which ship the information is about, and they belong to their owners.
3. Not medical advice
The App does not give medical advice. It does not diagnose, and it does not recommend, time or dose any medicine or treatment, including seasickness remedies. For health questions, ask the ship's Medical Center, the ship's doctor or a pharmacist. In an emergency, call the ship's emergency number or go to the Medical Center now.
4. Who can use the App
- You must be 18 years old or older. The App is not for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.
- One account per person. Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
- The App is offered by a U.S. company to customers in the United States. You may keep using it while you travel, wherever the service is available.
5. Purchases
Access to a sailing is bought in the App through Apple's App Store. The price is shown in the App before you buy. Access belongs to one account, so each traveler buys their own. Apple processes the payment and Apple's terms and refund process apply. We never see or store your card number.
6. Your content and uploads
- You keep ownership of what you send: questions, messages, reports, photos, screenshots and PDFs. You allow us to store and use it to run the App, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Uploads of the ship's daily schedule or other cruise line material. When you upload a photo, screenshot or PDF of the ship's daily schedule or other cruise line material, you confirm that you are allowed to share it with us. We use it only to answer questions about that sailing, for you and for other AI Cruise Director passengers on the same sailing. We may review, correct or remove any upload, and the information taken from it, at any time.
- Group messages are seen by the members of your group, and live reports by other passengers on your sailing. Share only what you are comfortable sharing.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use the App to harm, harass, threaten or deceive anyone;
- post hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate content in groups or reports;
- upload material you are not allowed to share, or other people's personal information without their permission;
- send false live reports, or try to game Points;
- get around limits, reverse-engineer the App, or extract its AI system or data;
- use the App in a way that breaks Anthropic's Usage Policy.
We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts, that break these rules.
8. Intellectual property
The App's design, code and content are the property of Cartesys LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for inaccurate AI answers; missed activities, shows, reservations or departures; any part of your cruise; data loss; or service interruptions. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App for the sailing the claim is about. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the App (Settings > Delete account) or by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms.
11. Changes to these Terms
When we change these Terms or the Privacy Policy in a material way, we update the date above and the App asks you to accept the new version before you continue.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
